GOP-hopeful Santorum campaigns in Northeast Louisiana

In senator Rick Santorum’s campaign stop in Northeast Louisiana, the only thing he could guarantee for college student’s future was “great jobs.”

Santorum’s appearance at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Rifle Range on Friday had voters roused up before Saturday’s Louisiana republican primary election. Especially after he “got the juices flowing” with a couple of fired rounds.

“All votes are important to me,” Santorum said. “We visit a lot of colleges to try and get the young people active and involved.”

Throughout his speech, Santorum encouraged the freedom that the country was founded and built on. The crowd cheered as he said to stand firm on core values and not to be an “etch-a-sketch,” or especially vote for one.

But to the college-goers, he had only a few words.

“They need to understand that Barack Obama is mortgaging their future,” said Santorum, the father of seven, “with a huge debt and no economic opportunities on top of it.”
