Monroe Police Department has determined the shooting that took place on Wednesday to be accidental.
Police responded Wednesday around 2 p.m. to a shooting at 401 Filhiol Avenue, just one block from ULM.

ULM and Monroe Police responded to a shooting one block from ULM’s campus.
The victim was taken to the hospital. Police did not comment on the severity of the injury.
The suspect was arrested and booked into OCC. There is no word yet on the name of the suspect.
